Uganda released its Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) factsheet and executive summary on July 16, 2025.

In Uganda, GATS was first conducted in 2013 and repeated in 2023. The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS), a component of the Global Tobacco Surveillance System (GTSS), provides a global standard for systematically monitoring adult tobacco use and tracking key tobacco control indicators.
