Malaysia released its 2023 Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) country report.

In Malaysia, GATS was conducted by the Institute for Public Health, in collaboration with the Disease Control Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia. The survey had the support of the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional office and the Malaysia country office, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the CDC Foundation and RTI International. As it has in other participating countries, results from GATS will assist Malaysia in translating data into action to improve policies and programs.
