Flagship Medical Tourism Hospital Programme Elevates Malaysia's Global Healthcare Image
The Flagship Medical
Tourism Hospital Programme, initiated by the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council
(MHTC) with support from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, aims to elevate
Malaysia’s global healthcare profile and enhance its private healthcare services.
In recent years, the
global medical tourism market has been propelled by pivotal factors including
substantial cost reductions, with overseas treatments often costing a mere
fraction of those in developed nations. These destinations provide exceptional
care through internationally accredited facilities and highly skilled
professionals. Waiting times for treatments are significantly reduced in
comparison to extensive lists in home countries. Advancements in medical
technology have made complex procedures more accessible and safer. Furthermore,
increased travel accessibility has enabled patients to conveniently seek
medical care worldwide.
