Public Health (MoPH) of Qatar announced on its official website the launch of
the E-Learning Platform by the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP). This
electronic educational portal was designed to enhance and develop the
competencies of healthcare practitioners in the State of Qatar by providing
high-quality educational and training resources.

Türkiye promotes its new Productive Health Model initiative
during the 10th Session of the Turkish
Medical World Congress on November 15, 2024. The model, which was
introduced under the leadership of the Turkish
Health and Medical Services Directorate (TUSEB), is a strong strategy to
reduce dependency on external resources and achieve strategic self-sufficiency
and resilience in the health sector by enhancing local production including the
production of domestic vaccines and medications, improving healthcare infrastructure,
and promoting health security.

The Ministry of Public Health
launched Qatar's National Action Plan on Obesity, Diabetes, and Modifiable Risk
Factors for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) 2024-2030. The
launch took place at the 2024 World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), one of
Qatar Foundation’s global initiatives, held on 13-14 November at the Qatar
National Convention Centre under the theme “Humanizing Health: Conflict,
Equity, and Resilience.”
The Omani Ministry of Health organised the XIX Annual Congress of Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine

The Omani Ministry of Health organised the XIX Annual Congress of Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine, which was attended by over 300 participants, including doctors and laboratory specialists from various civil and military healthcare institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as from private sector institutions. In addition, there are participants from several other countries around the world. The event features a selection of distinguished local and international speakers specializing in transfusion medicine.
As part of its
ongoing efforts to enhance health standards and develop the medical care
system, the Sultanate of Oman has obtained associate membership in the
International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF). This followed Oman’s
participation in the Forum's recent conference, held in Seattle, USA, where
representatives from various countries, medical device regulatory bodies,
and experts in regulatory affairs gathered to discuss the latest developments
and challenges related to the regulation and use of medical devices.
The Indonesian Ministry of Health
received a special recognition award in the Digital Health category from the
Asia-Pacific Action Alliance on Human Resources for Health (AAAH) through the
AAAH Award 2024 for its success in integrating electronic medical records (EMR)
through SATUSEHAT. The award was officially announced at the 13th AAAH
Conference in Lao PDR, October 27–31. At the event, the Indonesian Ministry of
Health also had the opportunity to showcase health technology innovations and
SATUSEHAT's achievements to delegates from various countries in the Asia-Pacific.
Egypt received on Sunday 20/10/2024 a certification of malaria elimination as an official recognition by the World Health Organization (WHO) of the country’s malaria-free status at the 2024 Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development hosted by the New Administrative Capital, east of Cairo.
MoH released the updated National Essential Healthcare Package for Uganda

The Uganda National Minimum Health
Care Package (UNMHCP) was developed in 1999 and has undergone periodic reviews
overtime. As Uganda continues to undergo significant changes in its social,
demographic, economic, and epidemiological structure, it has re-defined its
national strategic direction through the Vision 2040, the National Development
Plan III, and the National Health Policy III. The country is also committed to
achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Universal Health Coverage
(UHC) agendas by the year 2030.
The Omani Ministry of Health organised the National NWCCP Workshop

organized the National Women and Child Health Care Plan Workshop (NWCCP). The
two-day national workshop gathered general directors of hospitals, general

Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, and the Petroleum Development Oman
Polyclinic, in addition to department directors from the Directorate General of
